Softscapes

What is a softscape?

Part of the design phase is to incorporate planting beds and plant materials known as the softscape with the hardscape.  The softscape consists of various horticultural materials arranged in a number of configurations. Geometrical or asymmetrical elements of the softscape design are generally incorporated which animate and bring “life” to the design. Together, both softscape and hardscape are integral components to achieving a comprehensive landscape design.
